Thanks to an old friend's beautiful new wife, Angie, who sent the current issue of Brides, Southern California to me in Australia.  Brides, New York contacted me earlier in the year to organize the article above and I was delighted to find out it has been published in their other regional magazines.  I guess now is a good time to mention that I'm newly engaged and this is the first bridal magazine I've perused. Oh the inspiration..

New project revealed soon!

Due to a new line of prints I'm working on I will not be starting any new custom portraits between 21st August and 1st September.  I'm really looking forward to launching these new prints and will notify anyone who sends me an email (fleur@phunklab.com.au) with the subject "subscribe" of when they are up on Etsy.  If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me :)

Back from the snow

What can I say..it was AWESOME!!

Holidays, yay!

I'll be going on holidays from Monday the 20th of July until the first week of August.  We're heading for the snow and won't have any internet access so any inquiries between now and then will be answered when I get back.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

Portrait of a friend

This is my friend Jess.  We met when she came to do work experience at my boutique when she was just 14.  She's Max's godmother now and one of the most professional human beings I know putting 100% into everything she does.  I love her, what more can I say?  I also love the photo she chose to use.  She even drove up a very scary mountain road to collect the canvas during that wild weather last week so she could give it to her partner in time for his birthday.  That's dedication.

Wind and rain (and lots of it!)

We have a tourism slogan in Queensland: Beautiful one day, perfect the next.  This photo about sums up the weather we've had the past few days though.  Winds up to 120 km an hour and enough rain to be declared a natural disaster.  I'd be feeling pretty ripped off if I was here on a holiday right now.

A new computer, a new day

Well, I've finally done it, I've switched to Mac.  I was still working on my cracked laptop when my very savvy friend Jessie (who could sniff out a bargain from miles away) told me about her new 24 inch steal-of-a-mac so I called around to no less than five stores, put one on hold and hit the highway for an hour each way (which was just in time because a man bought the last two left while I was still paying for mine!)

It's taken me a while to switch everything over and I have had some very patient clients luckily, but I'm happy to say it's full steam ahead now!

Busy busy

Apologies for not posting for a while but it's been crazy around here with portraits and life in general. You know what it's like..
